eToro Expands into Singapore Exchange Stocks, Targets Southeast Asia Growth
eToro has broadened its offerings to include Singapore Exchange stocks, marking a strategic push into Asian markets. The platform, which already provides access to equities from New York, London, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Euronext, activated its Singapore capital markets services license in July. CEO Yoni Assia positions Singapore as a springboard for regional expansion, citing its robust regulatory framework and active capital markets.
The firm will introduce a social investing tool for Singaporean users this year, enabling copy trading of portfolios from experienced investors. This feature aims to simplify access to complex markets like Germany or Italy, where local knowledge barriers often deter participation. 'Singapore's ecosystem supports innovation while maintaining clarity—that's why we're building here first,' Assia noted, without disclosing further regional targets.
